Welcome to the Society for the Preservation of Antiquities. Better known as the S.P.A. An organization dedicated to the discovery and recovery of priceless artifacts from around the globe. The Society was founded just recently by an anonymous billionaire with a passion for history and archaeology. This mysterious founder has turned an English manor house into an astonishing headquarters equipped with the latest in technology blended with the charm and majesty of the past. Employees of the Society are the best and brightest in the fields of Archeology, Anthropology, Occult Studies, Mythology, and History. The society is also staffed with a brilliant technical and support personnel. Staff members are given housing on the grounds of the facility to better devote their time and effort to the case work the society takes on.
The headquarters is located in beautiful Manchester, England on the grounds of an old manor house. But don't let the antique exterior fool you, this is no museum. The interior has been modified to include the latest technological marvels. To the public the Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the restoration of relics, but the employees know the real deal going on behind the scenes. So if you have a passion for the relics of the lost worlds and your idea of a good time is pouring over ancient texts, or getting your hands dirty in the soil of a dig site, then come one down and submit your application.
So what antiquities are we talking about exactly? And why the secrecy from the public? Well the Society has become aware that in various corners of the world strange, and supernatural artifacts are beginning to surface. According to the data gathered from the Society's resources rumors that items like Joan of Arc's sword, the jar of King Solomon, and Thor's hammer are on the verge of discovery. These magical artifacts thought long lost to history, or just out-right myth, possess great supernatural powers. If they were fall in the hands of greedy, power-mad, or war-mongering persons it could spell disaster and terrible loss of life for millions of people on the planet. So it would be in the best interests of the innocent civilians that these artifacts are found and put away for safe keeping.
The founder of the Society has connections in the government, the military, and many foreign authorities which afford the employees access to anything they need to find and extract these artifacts. Once the item has been found an extraction team boxes up the artifact and returns it to the Society Headquarters where it is put away in a vault to insure the items powers do not fall into the wrong hands. Thanks to the founders connections the employees deployed into the field are able to travel from country to country unimpeded by customs, or other national securities. Each employee is given a passport, a lab-top computer, a cell phone, room and board, and meals all compliments of the Society. Additionally each employee is given a substantial salary, access to transportation, and any equipment necessary for uncovering the artifact. The Headquarters offers many amenities to the employees both for performing their job duties and recreational use including; the Library, the Gallery, the Vault, Common Rooms, Personal Quarters, Gymnasium, Gardens, and more.
